Jennifer Squeglia, CMP brings years of event planning experience to RLC Events. RLC are the initials of her late father - Robert Lee Colburn - who played a tremendous influential role throughout Jennifer's life. His ability to treat others with respect and dedicate his life to both his family and his profession provided the foundation for Jennifer's committed work ethic, strong relationships, and ability for quality service and high performance throughout her career.

Jennifer was born and raised in Woodbury, Connecticut and received her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of New Hampshire in Hotel Administration. Jennifer's career started in the hospitality industry working at luxury resorts in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, St. John in the US Virgin Islands, Savannah, Georgia and Martha's Vineyard. Her extensive hotel experience includes food and beverage and front office management, as well as directing catering and conference services departments.
 

Jennifer left the hotel industry after nearly ten years for the non-profit world, where she worked for five years at the Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust, a worthy organization dedicated to preserving the architectural legacy of the island. Planning fundraising events and managing property rentals, Jennifer more than tripled the fundraising and rental income throughout her tenure.
 

Jennifer came to Boston to pursue her career in the corporate events arena and worked at John Hancock as an Event Manager. In addition to planning high profile incentive trips throughout the United States and Europe, Jennifer also worked on a team to execute the hospitality programs for John Hancock's most distinct executives and producers at three Olympic Games - Sydney, Salt Lake, and Athens. Jennifer's primary roles at this world event were the VIP program and ground transportation. In addition to the Olympics, Jennifer also worked on the Boston Marathon for several years.
 

After many years at John Hancock, Jennifer brought her experience to Fidelity Investments, where she served as Director of Meetings & Client Events for the Fidelity Brokerage Company. Supporting the Fidelity Registered Investment Advisor Group and Fidelity Family Office Services, Jennifer broadened her expertise with agenda development, production experience, trade show strategy, and high-end client educational events.
 

Jennifer opened RLC Events, Inc. in March 2007 and has orchestrated events for clients across all industries throughout the United States. Events include leadership forums and high level executive training programs, as well as leading a team of event professionals in orchestrating twelve one-day free clinics featured on the Dr. Oz Show, Good Morning America, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and Parade Magazine.   

Jennifer was recently awarded by Smart Meetings magazine as one of the Smart Women in Meetings 2021 in the Visionary category.  In 2019, Jennifer was recognized by MeetingsNet as a Changemaker in the industry for leading FICP’s Influence Committee in its goal to demonstrate the impact and value of meeting professionals, and to raise awareness of the importance of meetings and events in the process.
 

Jennifer has been a long standing and active member of FICP (Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals) since 2000 and joined the Board of Directors in January 2019.  FICP is a community of financial services and insurance industry meetings and events professionals dedicated to developing members, and advocating the positive impact and value of their work. FICP elevates the profession by leveraging partnerships and members’ collective skills and experiences to create purposeful interactions for all stakeholders whose professional success is linked to members’ work.  Jennifer now serves as the Board of Directors Chair starting in 2022.
 

Jennifer and her husband Paul are based in Naples, Florida and enjoy boating and travelling.
